    RHSP Dillon Gee  - 7 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 4 K , 8.82

Fine bounce back start for Dillon Gee. Herrera went 3-4 including a home run. Travis Taijeron had a homer (#14) and a walk.
AA - Binghamton - (41-40) 1 - Portland (31-53) 6

    RHSP John Gant  -   6.0-IP, 6-H, 4-R, 5-K, 0-BB, 4.29

Only one run against Gant was earned. Limp offensive performance.  Michael Conforto had a double and a walk in 3 at bats and is hitting  .325. Nimmo slips to .279.
A+ - St. Lucie - (40-41) 4 - Ft Myer (45-36) 5

    RHSP Mickey Jannis  -   7.0-IP, 3-H, 2-R, 3-K, 4-BB, 1.29

Robert Coles blew a fine start by Jannis, allowing 3 late runs. Victor Cruzado hit a two-run homer.
A - Savannah - (43-37) 8 - Greenville (43-36) 6

    RHSP Ricky Knapp -   5.2-IP, 10-H, 5-R, 5-K, 0-BB, 2.86

Suddenly hot Vicente Lupo hit a three run homer and walked twice to raise his average to .210. He has had four homers in his last nine games .  Eudor Garcia hit a two-run shot, his 5th, in the ninth for the margin of victory
Low-A  -  Brooklyn - (11-5) 9 - Williamsport (13-3) 2

    RHSP Jose Celas  -  3.1-IP, 3-H, 2-R, 4-K, 6-BB, 2.70

Brandon Brosher was the big basher tonight, with a home run, a double and seven RBIs. Vince Sienna add two more hits and is hitting 400.  Kevin Canelon struck out six in four fine scoreless innings of relief.
Rookie -  Kingsport - (6-7) 5 - Greenville (7-5) 2

    RHSP - Audry Germen  -  8.0-IP, 5-H, 2-R, 3-K, 1-BB, 3.54

Down 2-0 in the 6th, Winningham (3) and Mazelka (2) hit homers to rally Kingsport to another win.

I love the pop we're seeing out of Brosher, Winningham, and a few others so far down in the lower minors. Hopefully the 2 youngsters mentioned turn into REAL future Mets sluggers.

Poor Jayce Boyd. With Kirk back in AAA sucking up at bats, Jayce has been in 2 games since June 20. Unless he is banged up that sucks.

The Kirk Illusion is fading, He started out like gangbusters in AAA return. In his last 6 games, though, he went hitless in 5 of them. Sound familiar? Boyd may be useful, Kirk is an illusion. Play Boyd.
