NY Post: Mets, Jacob deGrom stop Rockies, continue Citi dominance. “On Wednesday, in front of 37,175 delighted fans, deGrom worked his seven scoreless innings, surrendering two hits, striking out 10 and walking four. It was his fourth double-digit strikeout game this season, eighth in his career…[Juan] Uribe entered the game slip-sliding through an 0-of-13 skid that went to 14 hitless at bats before he lived up to his clutch-guy reputation. With two out and Juan Lagares on second, Uribe drilled a double over the head of center fielder Blackmon and the Mets were up, 1-0, against Colorado starter Jorge De La Rosa (7-5). Then fellow 36-year-old Cuddyer, promptly delivered him. Playing in his second game after a disabled-list stay for an inflamed knee, Cuddyer singled up the middle for career hit No. 1,500.”

Mets extend 1st place lead to 3.5 games as the Nationals fell to Dodgers 3-0.
