NY Post: "Murphy’s RBI double in the first accounted for the Mets’ initial run. Curtis Granderson walked leading off and stole second before Murphy knocked in his 50th run of the season...David Hale’s wildness in the second inning allowed the Mets to score twice and take a 3-0 lead. After Hale drilled Flores and Michael Conforto singled – taking second on a wild throw by Gonzalez – the pitcher unloaded two wild pitches, allowing both runners to score. Hale had a third wild pitch in the inning, after Recker walked."

Nationals stayed 5 games behind the Mets as they beat the Brewers 9-5.
