NY Post: Matt Harvey dominates as Mets blank Rockies. “Manager Terry Collins let Harvey pitch the eighth and get up to 97 pitches in part because it was 1-0 until the Mets scored three in the eighth… [the Mets’ lead increased]…to 2 ¹/₂ games after the Nationals lost Tuesday to the Dodgers. Tejada delivered a run-scoring single to right through the hole vacated by D.J. LeMahieu at second to give the Mets a 1-0 lead. They added some insurance in the eighth against Colorado’s porous bullpen, loading the bases with two outs before Curtis Granderson was walked by Boone Logan to make it 2-0. Juan Lagares’ two-run double gave the Mets a 4-0 advantage and Eric O’Flaherty finished it in the ninth.”
