2013 Draft-Notes - Jonathan Crawford , Albert Minnis, Thomas Hatch, Kory Delange , Summer Games

Jonathan Crawford RHP Florida- Can you see a trend here? I like pitching and I also like college pitching that is close to ready. Crawford, at times, has the best stuff in the country. But, he often suffers from a lack of consistency with his action. He can dial it up in the upper 9′s but generally settles around 94 with excellent ground ball ability. He flashes a curve, change that will improve over time but are already serviceable pitches. He was 6-2 with a 3.13 e.r.a in 12 striking out 70 and walking 24 in 75 IP. PTP
LHP Albert Minnis, Wichita State -- Minnis had a very respectable spring for the Shockers, tallying a 3.82 ERA. He also had an outstanding summer, making 22 appearances and compiling a 2.10 ERA in 25 2/3 innings of work. He also struck out 32 and walked six, while teams hit him at a .213 clip. PG
Thomas Hatch RHP  Jenks (Okla.) HS  Ht.: 6-2. Wt.: 200. B/T: R/R.  Hatch is a strong, durable righthander with an outstanding arm. He pounds the strike zone with his heavy, sinking fastball that gets up to 94 mph. He complements that pitch with an advanced and deceptive changeup with sink as well as a tight breaking ball with depth. He is verbally committed to Oklahoma State.
Matt Grabusky‏ -  Strong inning from Thomas Hatch, 88-89 with a nice looking change
Nathan Rode‏ -  Brett Morales 90-93 with good CH. Struck out the side in the 9th but gave up one run lead. 7-6 American, Bot 9.
Conor Glassey‏ -  Clint Frazier’s swing looks like a right-handed Chase Utley to me
Andrew Hartwell‏ -  Amazing summer stat......Hunter Renfroe (Bethesda Big Train--Miss. State) had 16 homers this summer
David Rawnsley‏ -  C Ryan McCarvel (Canyons Springs HS, CA) & C Gavin Collins (Oaks Christian HS, CA) the top prospects at PG West Coast TP Showcase
Justin Hlubek‏ -  Keaton McKinney (2014 RHP, Ankeny HS, Ankeny, IA) 87-89 with his FB touched 90 mph in his first inning of work, Arkansas commit
Jason Gonzalez‏ -  Minnesota duo makes big impact in 1st USA Baseball 18U trials scrimmage. Ryan Boldt: 17 3R, 2SB, 2BB… Logan Shore 1H, 1R & 3Ks on mound
RHP Kory Delange, Nicholls State -- Delange put together a 5.74 ERA last season and followed the spring up with a big-time summer at the CCL. He made 10 appearances and had a 2.16 ERA in 50 innings of work. He also struck out 59 and walked 20, while teams hit him at a .233 clip. http://www.perfectgame.org/Articles/View.aspx?article=7522
