AAA – Buffalo:.

RHP JEURYS FAMILIA takes the hill for his IL-leading 27th start of the season. The righty is coming off a loss in Pawtucket on Sunday where he tossed five innings and allowed three runs. Overall, he leads all current Bisons pitchers with eight wins and 124.0 innings pitched. Familia’s 112 strikeouts are tied for the 7th most by a Bisons pitcher in the modern era with current Mets pitcher Matt Harvey (2012) and Dorn Taylor (1990)… RHP JEFF STEVENS tossed two hitless innings last night, walking one and striking out two. He extended his scoreless outings streak to six games. Over the stretch, he has a win, a save, and has allowed just three hits and two walks while striking out 10 (7.0IP). This season, the righty is 1-1 with a 3.26ERA in 38.2 innings of work (31 appearances)…  INF MATT TUIASOSOPO hit his 10th home run of the season last night, a solo shot in the sixth inning. It is his second home run in his last four games. He now has 50RBI on the season, good for third on the team behind OF Valentino Pascucci (57) and INF Josh Satin (55).- team PR

 

AA-Binghamton:

RHP Gonzalez Germen (7-10, 4.65) makes his 17th start of the season and second against the Sea Dogs. The righty snapped four-game losing streak with the B-Mets with a win in his last start versus the Richmond Flying Squirrels on August 19. Germen allowed two runs on eight hits over seven innings. The Dominican Republic native faced the Sea Dogs at Hadlock Field on May 18, taking a loss. He allowed two runs (one earned) on six hits over six innings.
 

RHP Brandon Workman (2-0, 1.64) takes the mound for his third start with the Sea Dogs. Workman has won his first two games at Double-A, most recently beating the New Britain Rock Cats on August 19. Workman started the season with the Salem Red Sox (High-A), going 7-7 with a 3.40 ERA over 20 starts. He departed the Carolina League with the fifth-best ERA, third-lowest WHIP (1.09) and third-best opponent’s batting average (.244). Selected in the 2nd round of the 2010 draft out of Texas, the Bowie, TX native made his pro debut with the Greenville Drive (Low-A) last year. – team PR
