Richard Lucas went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs as the Mets pounded out 16 hits in a 9-1 victory over the Fort Myers Miracle on Sunday at Digital Domain Park. Chase Huchingson allowed one run and four hits over six innings to earn his seventh win.
Huchingson walked four and struck out five.
John Church tossed two scoreless innings with two strikeouts and two walks.
Jeff Walters tossed a scoreless inning with a pair of strikeouts.
Kai Gronauer finished 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs. Alonzo Harris went 3-for-5 with a run scored and RBI while T.J. Rivera went 2-for-5 with a run scored.
Robbie Shields finished 3-for-4, Cory Vaughn went 1-for-4 with an RBI, and Travis Taijeron had an RBI double.
The Mets are off Monday before returning to action as they visit the Palm Beach Cardinals on Tuesday at 6:35 p.m. Rafael Montero is the scheduled starter for the Mets.
