Sandy Alderson said Edgin has a stretched out ligament. May be facing surgery, but no drawback to trying rest and rehab for a few weeks

Edgin deciding on surgery or rehab. Would be TJ. But Alderson says situation is not black and white.

Even if Edgin tried rest and rehab, Alderson said, and needed Tommy John in a few weeks, it would have no impact on 2016 readiness.

Hmm...
I don't think you can 'under-stretch' a ligament, can you?
It sound to me that TJS is Edgin's immediate future here and, in my book, the quicker you get it done, the quicker he can get back next season.
This year?
I'm writing about Dario Alvarez in tomorrow morning's report.
