Mets Draft – 25th Round
– Laine Huffman
Junior SS Laine Huffman…was selected in Round 25 by
the New York Mets. It's the second straight season the Mets have drafted a
Dirtbag after they spent a 7th Round pick on Austin McGeorge a year ago. Huffman took
over the starting shortstop gig at Shortstop U this past season and hit .294
with 26 RBIs and 22 runs scored, hitting primarily in the No. 9 spot in the
lineup.
We already have Scoundrels on the Mets...bring on the Dirtbags. Not sure if his bat will get him far, but hopefully he gives pro ball a try.
By the way, McGeorge is doing very well for St Lucie in relief in his first full season.
