Mitchell Garver, C, Hyannis Harbor Hawks (New Mexico) – Showed
some hitting ability, bat speed and pop in bp… but didn’t have a good day at
the plate. Adequate defender behind the plate. Actions, athleticism and
receiving all okay, but no area of his defensive game stands out. Arm strength
above average but mechanics mitigate that. Pop times mostly >2.00, but I did
get a 1.9. BB

Q - If the draft were held
today, would Michael Wacha be in the top 10?
A - No.
Q - Do you have a higher
opinion of Ryan Stanek than you used to? At one
point you saw him as a reliever in the long run; sounds like you like him
better now.
A - Raised his arm slot
slightly without losing any stuff. Makes a big difference in his potential to
start.
