I May Be Wrong, But… Josh Thole, Dumpster Diving, Sunday Special, Kitchen Ade, RA 4-day Rest

     1.    Josh Thole did nothing wrong Friday night. Countless experts have replayed tons of video at every conceivable angle and the play was impossible to make. That being said, the team is 3-21 in the last 24 games he has started. I got to know Josh pretty good in 2007 and no one wanted him to succeed more than I do, but one of the first places I run to every day is to check the progess of players like Juan Centeno, Blake Forsythe, and Kevin Plawecki. I know the Mets don’t have the bucks right now to sign a Mike Napoli or Brian McCann, but this team is never going all the way without an upgrade here.
     2.    I catch myself looking at the waiver wire each morning, hoping to catch a name or two of players that could help us, what, finish higher and get a lower draft pick. And, what’s that going to get me, a chance to draft, let’s say, catcher Jeremy Martinez, but instead calling out the name of Joey Bubotz from Old Lady of Frozen Angels Academy in Lodi, New Jersey? There’s no intriguing name on the list this morning, but the day is young.
3.    Remember now… there will be no Mets minor league report tomorrow morning. Instead, I will post an analysis on my projected 2013 teams comes opening day. I did a lot of work on this and I hope you participate and come back during the day to join in the comments that are thrown back at you. None will be erased. Attention MMs writers: I really need your imput here. Make me proud. The Minor League Report will be back at 8am on Monday so you all can get your Kingsport fix (sic).
     4.    My wife joined Twitter. She’s a syndicated food columnist who has made quite the name for herself here in Jasper/Beaufort County, South Carolina and her account is ‘Kitchen Ade’ . Twitter is telling her it will take a few days to click in, but check it out. Kingsport’s John Gant, and his family are big followers of her weekly column for Morris News Service (an example: http://www.blufftontoday.com/bluffton-news/2011-04-25/slice-heaven-pies-galore-fill-readers )
5.    I have no problem with RA pitching every 5th day. He’s a smart guy and he’d never do anything that would hurt his seven-figure arm. He also knows this is the best chance he’s ever going to have in becoming a 20-game winner. Like I said, smart guy.
