Savannah 2 Greensboro 1
The Savannah Sand Gnats and the Greensboro Grasshoppers
played their first game of the series Tuesday evening in front of 892 fans at
Grayson Stadium. Fans saw great pitching. Savannah rallied in the bottom of the
11th inning to win the game 2-1.
In the 4th inning, Sand Gnats scored their first run when cCam Maron, walked, advanced to second on a wild pitch, and scored on error on a ground ball. The winning run was scored in the 11th inning. cfGilbert Gomez walked and advanced to second on a sac bunt by Maron. 3bDustin Lawley singled to drive in the winning run.
