A five-run second
inning gave the Licking County Settlers a 5-2 lead over the Lake Erie Monarchs
and they never looked back, winning 10-4 to move on to the next round of the
playoffs, a best of three series against the Lima Locos. Lake Erie had the
first lead of the game when David Vandercook crossed home on an Eric Jacobson
sacrifice fly to center. Tim Quiery followed that up with an RBI double to
bring around Austin Williams for a brief 2-0 lead. http://www.collegesummerbaseball.net/2012/08/settlers-top-monarchs-10-4-move-on-to.html
