Cards outhit the Mets 14-4 as they score 9 runs off Bartolo Colon (L,6-3). With the Mets trailing 1-0 in the 3rd, Bartolo reached on an error to lead off, Curtis Granderson singled, Eric Campbell K'd, Lucas Duda singled to load them up but Michael Cuddyer lined out and Daniel Murphy grounded out.  After standing on the bases that entire inning, Bartolo gave up 6 runs in the 4th, the very next inning, as the Cards batted around. 

The loss dropped the Mets to 2nd place for the first time since April 15th as the Nationals beat the Yankees for the 2nd straight game.
