Tom Brennan - Tuesday Tidbits - Spotlight on Brooklyn Hurlers

Tom's Tidbits

I can’t believe it is already late May. Time flies…anyway…

Some Brooklyn hurlers have already been promoted to AA.

Thornton, Lambert, Nunez, to name 3.

Plenty of good ones still remain in the non-island named Coney.

I already spotlighted Brendan Girton last week.

Seven others are interesting:

Ryan Ammons - a Red Sox 2023 10th rounder who came to the Mets in the Justin Slaten trade. Slaten has been a very solid reliever for the Red Sox in 2024 and 2025. The Mets organization had him, but he never pitched in the organization.  I wonder why the Mets made that deal. Anyway,

Noah Hall’s career is on the right ark. The 7th rounder

Jonathan Santucci was assigned to Brooklyn, skipping St Lucie, and has struggled.

RJ Gordon was a 13th rounder in 2024, making his debut in Brooklyn this year, and has been very strong.

Wild man Saul Garcia

Joel Diaz

Eduardo Herrera

Arms have been plentiful in Brooklyn in 2025. So have bats. A great year for the Cyclones.
