NY Post: Mets beaten down by majors’ worst team for 5th straight loss. "The Mets fell to 7-13 since their 11-game winning streak in April, and their offensive woes were most magnified Friday, when they managed only three hits, with previously struggling Kyle Lohse throwing a two-hitter over eight innings. In 13 of their last 17 games, the Mets have scored three runs or fewer...Bartolo Colon (L,6-2) didn’t receive help defensively, but also surrendered two home runs on a night the Brewers hit three."

ESPN.com: "Flores made his ninth error in the third inning, beginning a four-run rally for Milwaukee. Mets RF Curtis Granderson misplayed Parra's run-scoring double that sailed over his head."

Despite still being in 1st place, the 5 game losing streak started making fans nervous:

Mets360: "We were lulled into a sense of confidence and promise that this year would be different. But here we are, with a “starting shortstop” who is unable to throw the baseball 120 feet to a target roughly the size of a barn door. A bench player, who despite having a slugging percentage lower than his on-base percentage, has still managed to play six out of the last seven games because the so-called manager likes what he sees. A lineup that has struck out 23 times over the past two days, while walking twice. Twice!!"

The Nationals beat the Padres 10-0 to move to just a half a game behind the Mets.

Mets had a number of guys make brief appearances in 2015. Lots of flux with the roster until Cespedes, Juan Uribe, Kelly Johnson arrived and the team became fully healthy.
